Claudelands has a rich cultural history, and has been hosting events in Hamilton since the late 1800s. The extensive redevelopment of Claudelands began in 2007 and an Open Day was held to mark its re-opening in June 2011.

What are the opening hours?
Show opens at 10am and closes at 6pm with the last session going in at 5pm Thursday – Sunday. Check your preferred date on the Ticketek website

Parking?
Public parking is available for $5 (cash only) and may be available on the surrounding roads depending on the event taking place.

What are the transport options?
Claudelands is a 10-15 minute walk from the CBD, pedestrian access is via the Arena Plaza on Heaphy Terrace.
Bicycle racks are also available on site.
Taxi stands are located on Heaphy Terrace.
Bus stops are situated on Brooklyn Road and Heaphy Terrace. For more information on the city’s bus service visit the Busit website.

Session times – how long can we stay in session?
It takes a minimum of 90 minutes to view the exhibition.

Can you buy tickets at the door?

Yes, tickets will be available however we strongly encourage you to buy tickets before you arrive so ensure you can secure tickets for your preferred session time. We cannot guarantee that tickets will be available for all sessions at the door.

 

Are we able to take photographs?
Most definitely, although we would ask for no commercial photography.

Will Ryan be at the event?
Unfortunately due to his busy schedule Ryan can’t be at the exhibition this time

I purchased tickets online – do I need a copy of the paper ticket to gain entry?
Please have a version of your e ticket on your phone or a hardcopy on arrival.

From what age will children be charged for entry?
3 and above.

Do senior cards qualify for discounts?
Yes. Seniors are admitted at Concession prices

What is the age limit for children’s tickets?
3-15. Children aged 15 and under must be accompanied by an adult within the exhibition.

Is food and drinks allowed?
Food and drink are not allowed in the exhibition.

Is there an area to leave personal belongings?
Claudelands has no official coat check but you are more than welcome to contact any of Claudelands’s staff and they can secure this for you for a small charge.

Are there ATM’s nearby?
Eftpos is available on site however there are no ‘cash out’ facilities available. There are several ATMs nearby in the surrounding streets.

Is there wheelchair and pram access?

There are a number of accessibility car parks available in the Heaphy Terrace car park, approximately 80m from the Arena Plaza. Access to this car park will vary depending on the event.

Brooklyn car park has a number of accessibility car parks available, approximately 80m from the Exhibition Halls. Access to this car park will vary depending on the event.

Check in with the car parking wardens upon arrival, they will direct you towards the appropriate car park.

Access to the venue is via the Ground Floor. Lifts are available in the arena foyer and at the conference concourse. Accessible bathroom facilities are available on the lower and upper arena concourse of the Claudelands Arena, the lower conference concourse and beside the Brooklyn Rooms on the upper level.

Wheelchair accessible spaces are available in the Arena, the location will vary depending on the event. If you require wheelchair accessible seating, please notify Ticketek when you are purchasing your ticket, you will then be allocated to accessibility seating.
