Due to popular demand, Brickman Awesome: Epic LEGO® Brick Creations has now been extended until Sunday 2 May at Auckland Museum!

Also new to Auckland Museum is a LEGO® brick model of Emirates Team New Zealand’s AC75 boat, Te Rehutai. Made with over 23,000 LEGO® bricks and standing at over 2m high!

At Level 2 the number of people admitted for each session will be limited. We’re also operating timed entry for this exhibition, for your safety and to provide a great visitor experience. Book your preferred time to enter the exhibition, and stay as long as you like.

Our all-new LEGO® brick exhibition which is all about things which are amazing, unique, record-breaking or just plain awesome! You’ve never seen LEGO® like this before!

Marking Ryan’s third exhibition made entirely from LEGO® bricks, Brickman Awesome showcases the tallest LEGO® model in the Southern Hemisphere – a NASA SLS rocket standing at a whopping 7.5m tall and built from more than 450,000 bricks! Taking more than 500 hours to create, Ryan has pushed LEGO® building boundaries by installing an in-built lighting system giving the effect that the rocket is blasting off into space.

The exhibition will be made up of 37 never-seen-before LEGO® models, totalling almost a million bricks and clocking up more than 4,500 hours of build-time! Brickman Awesome also includes the first life-sized LEGO® Harley Davidson ever made, the largest ever LEGO® Caterpillar 797 dump truck and a 2.5m tall Orca whale! Adding to the awesome-ness is a full-sized LEGO® Australian saltwater crocodile, weighing over 60kgs and built using more than 40,000 LEGO® bricks!

If that’s not awesome enough, visitors will be forgiven for thinking they have stepped inside a zoo as they find themselves surrounded by a LEGO® Kangaroo, Koala and even a family of penguins!

Brickman Awesome has been exclusively curated by Ryan McNaught and his expert team – Ryan is the only LEGO® Certified Professional in the Southern Hemisphere, one of only 14 in the world and is the official judge on Channel Nine’s new blockbuster reality series, LEGO Masters Australia!
