Throwback Thursday: LEGO brick Love Boat
For this week’s Throwback Thursday we’re going back to one of Ryan’s biggest and most enduring models: The LEGO brick Love Boat! Built back in 2010, the Love Boat was actually built from the same bricks Ryan used in his first big model, the A-380 and came about when Ryan tried to think of a […]
AMP Buildings
AMP commissioned me to make a model of their original building, an iconic curved office block at Sydney’s Circular Quay, and their proposed new building- a stunning modern building that’s all angled glass and gardens with a mall underneath it! You can see the old building well in this shot. The old AMP Building was […]

Check out the timelapse video of the life-size LEGO® TARDIS we built last year that appeared on Bondi Beach in Sydney! 75,000 bricks, 400 kilos and 300 hours!
The Flying Scotsman in Lego Bricks!
Down here at the Brickman workshop we are running like an express train because we’re gearing up toward a massive new touring show! Towers of Tomorrow Townsville
I’m back in sunny Townsville for the weekend! This time I’m with the Towers of Tomorrow exhibition me and my team built a few years ago, which includes some of the toughest models I’ve ever built of the many of the world’s tallest buildings! The exhibit also includes hundreds of thousands of bricks visitors can use to build their own model. So if you’re in North Queensland or heading there over the next few months, drop by and check them out!
Venus de Medici
My first LEGO nude! Here’s a side by side of the classic Venus de Medici, a marble sculpture depicting the Greek goddess of love Aphrodite and my LEGO version. The Venus de Medici model is displayed at the Nicholson Museum in Sydney University as part of their Alpha & Omega exhibition opening soon.
Clay Moorington
Here is the giant Clay Moorington from LEGO NEXO Knights which we made for the LEGO booth at toyfair.
The funny part is he was built by Clay Mellington – pictured
Coincidence? Likeness? You be the judge. – Just remember our Clay Mellington came first.
If you want to check him out he will be at Fountain gate shopping centre in Melbourne April 9 and 10 for the free LEGO Nexo knights event.
Brisbane Signature Build
We received a huge number of signed bricks from the last Brick Man Experience show in Brisbane and as with the Melbourne & Sydney shows we’ve used the bricks to build an iconic Australian animal. Behold the Brisbane shark Signature Build!
We call him Mick.
GRRRRrrrrr
Down at the Brickman HQ, for years we have been saying we would love an office pet.
One we could love, look after, be a companion with and generally have fun playing with.
However nobody liked the idea of having to feed and do all the looking after business!
So we compromised! and ended up with “Brutus”, be careful though his fangs are razor sharp!
