LEGO® Masters Australia Season 1
In 2018 Channel Nine and Endemol Shine Australia asked Ryan to become the judge for a brand-new reality TV show all about our favourite plastic brick- LEGO® Masters Australia! Needless to say Ryan jumped at the chance, especially when it was revealed Hamish Blake was the host!
The show commenced production in late 2018 and Ryan and the Brickman team became heavily involved, helping to design and test the build challenges, as well as ensure the BrickPit was stocked well.
Once challenges were signed off we also built a lot of supporting models, such as the empty skyscrapers the contestants’s creations were added to in episode 1, or the planets Hamish smashed with a baseball bat in Episode 2.
We designed some of the challenge components too, such as the Parrot from the Break and Make challenge and the Apartment frames in Episode 4.

LEGO® Masters is back for 2020! Ryan is back as judge alongside host Hamish Blake. And yes. Brickman no longer wears glasses! We’re so excited to be helping bring another whole new series of LEGO brick-built wonder and creativity to Australia’s screens this year.
We’re especially hoping the show helps kids and families re-discover their imagination and creativity during the pandemic and the seismic shifts it’s having on our world.
Following the smash-hit success of last year we’ve been working hard on developing and testing all-new challenges for the show as well as building some truly massive LEGO models that will appear at different times!
Probably the biggest model we created was for the penultimate episode where we created a life-size motorcycle that Hamish smashed! Watch the timelapse of us building it below.
