Wonders of the World hits New Zealand
After a massive tour around Australia we’ve brought our second touring LEGO exhibition, Wonders of the World, across the Tasman to New Zealand! We had a huge run at the amazing Museum of New Zealand Te Papa in Wellington where 100,000 people saw the show and now we’re heading north to Hamilton, then Auckland. We’re […]
Brickman Experience returns to Melbourne
Our original interactive Brickman Experience exhibition is back home in Melbourne these school holidays at Harbour Town Melbourne for the final time in Australia! Before we take the show overseas we wanted to farewell Australia back in our home town of Melbourne, so we brought it back, with a few new models that weren’t built […]
Throwback Thursday: LEGO® Brick Medici Venus
This week we’re going back to early last year for the fourth and most recent model we’ve created for the Nicholson Museum in Sydney- a lifesize LEGO brick version of the iconic Medici Venus statue! The statue’s design has been reproduced by many different artists and sculptures over the centuries, but the Nicholson Museum chose […]
Throwback Thursday: LEGO® Brick Jetstar 787
Throwback Thursday is back! This week we’re going back to Ryan’s LEGO® brick Jetstar 787 from 2014. As much as Ryan loves building planes, there was a very specific reason he chose to do his Jetstar 787 the way he did; Jetstar actually lost his luggage full of LEGO on a flight to Rockhampton so […]
Pieces for Peace Melbourne Bollart
In January 2017 Melbourne was victim to an unthinkable tragedy involving a car mounting the footpaths of Bourke Street and many innocent lives lost. That event coupled with recent attacks in London have lead to the temporary installation of depressing anti-terror concrete bollards on footpaths across the city. In true Melbourne spirit, artists from all […]
Throwback Thursday: LEGO® brick Hot Air Balloon
This week’s model, Ryan’s beautiful rainbow coloured hot-air balloon, is a bit different in that Ryan built it purely for himself and just for the challenge of it! Building a pattern into a complex compounding curving shape like a balloon in LEGO is about as hard as it gets. Ryan started by getting the shape […]
Throwback Thursday: LEGO® Brick Didgeridoos
Back in 2012 LEGO Australia celebrated it’s 50th Anniversary in Australia with the “Festival of Play” which included a visit to Australia by LEGO’s CEO. It was decided to build something distinctly Australian as gifts to the LEGO group VIPs and Ryan chose to build LEGO brick versions of the iconic Aboriginal instrument -the Didgeridoo! […]

Wonders of the World Brisbane Open & Tour Announced!
It’s been an epic first week up in Brisbane for our new Wonders of the World exhibition! It was both exhilarating and slightly frightening to show all the models we’ve been working on for over a year to the public for the first time. But seeing the looks on the faces of the kids ( […]
Venus de Medici
My first LEGO nude! Here’s a side by side of the classic Venus de Medici, a marble sculpture depicting the Greek goddess of love Aphrodite and my LEGO version. The Venus de Medici model is displayed at the Nicholson Museum in Sydney University as part of their Alpha & Omega exhibition opening soon.
Brisbane Signature Build
We received a huge number of signed bricks from the last Brick Man Experience show in Brisbane and as with the Melbourne & Sydney shows we’ve used the bricks to build an iconic Australian animal. Behold the Brisbane shark Signature Build!
We call him Mick.
